BEEyOnd Sight

BEEyond Sight is a 3D immersive mini-game and honeybee simulation designed for the NOVA 360 motion simulator. The project explores how motion simulation technology, traditionally used for mechanical or human-centered experiences, can be adapted to simulate organic insect movement and perception. By shifting away from human-centered perspectives, the project aims to immerse users in the sensory experience of a honeybee.

 Software: Unity, Blender

I was responsible for the project’s visual development, environment design, modelling, and animation. My role focused on constructing immersive natural environments and visual systems that supported the experiential and sensory goals of the simulation. I worked primarily in Blender and Unity to create stylized environments and animated elements that enhanced spatial immersion and environmental storytelling.

The project was developed collaboratively with team members contributing to sound design, programming, flight simulation systems, and playtesting. The final experience successfully demonstrated how immersive technologies can be used beyond traditional simulation contexts to explore non-human perception and movement. The project strengthened my skills in experiential storytelling, interactive environment design, and collaborative immersive media production while gaining public exposure through its showcase at Melbourne Design Week 2026.
